Being in the recording studio is my favorite thing in the world. Of all my varied relationships with music, the process and art involved with mixing and mastering are the most fulfilling to me.
My recording experience began in high school, taping my rock band with a 4-track cassette machine. I graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory with a b.m. in Commercial Music – a hybrid of music performance and sound engineering studies. While in college I began engineering and producing albums for my friends, in dorms and practice rooms, using our own equipment.
Since college I have worked on many recording projects in various capacities, from session musician to engineer to producer, covering a wide range of styles. I’ve been in Richmond, Virginia for almost 5 years, and worked with many musicians in the area, both in the studio and onstage.
